arizona wildcatsThe Arizona Wildcats have added another player to its football recruiting Class of 2010. The newest addition to Arizona’s football roster is defensive lineman Aiulua Fanene. According to the press release below, Fanene is a 6’4” 280-pound lineman from Nu’uuli, American Somoa.

Arizona has a strategy when it comes to offensive linemen. They want 3-5 per class, they want them big and they want them athletic. This year’s crop seems to fit that bill.

Co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh broke down the class of linemen and what they look for in those players.

(Note: the interview was conducted prior to Bedenbaugh was officially named co-offensive coordinator, so no questions on that new position were asked)

arizona football recruitingDays after the Arizona Wildcats received a verbal commitment from its quarterback of the future in Daxx Garman, Arizona has set its sights on a player that could protect Garman’s blind side. Wildcat Sports Report spoke with Class of 2011 offensive tackle Brendon Austin, and has confirmed that Austin has indeed received a written scholarship offer from the University of Arizona.
